5 Deep Things your Mind must learn to be invincible

Estimated read time 3 min read

Your mind is a tool for success and can only achieve as much as it has. Think of your mind as an axe and the world as the tree (without meaning to be against trees or to encourage deforestation), the speed at which the axe can go through the tree is related to the sharpness of the axe. If the mind is not as sharp then achieving the job in good time or with less effort will be just as blunt as the axe.

1. Observation

Your mind is only as effective as it is able to be neutral from other disturbances and observe. When there are so many things going on the temptation is to go with the feelings that surround us or the passions that we think we need in our lives. The easiest time to manipulate people is when they are the most emotional. However the hardest time to influence a person is when they are the most calm and they can think clearly. Observation is very important, and how you do it is critical to success. Don’t get too involved in activities until you are sure you are calm and ready.

2. Focus

The concentration of energy is the most powerful state of the mind. When an idea is focused there are not too many obstacles that can stand in your way. Focus is how things get done. Being able to concentrate your energy on what needs to be done creates a spark that becomes a catalyst in life. Division diminishes the strength of any force and in the end anything can get through. As a certain book says, “A house divided unto itself will soon fall

3. Calmness

There is observation then there is calmness. The ability to observe must be coupled with the ability to stay calm when things are happening around us. In the midst of the storm there will be so many things that will hit against you, when this is happening , you must still be able to stay calm not because you are observing but because you are calm. Not every observer is calm, in the calmness is the ability to strategize.

4. Calculative

Being calculative is about being able to measure your steps from the past, through the present, into the future. Everything is mathematical, has a probability, a historical statistics and futuristic simulation. Once you learn how you fit the patterns you are more able to build success over it. Your mind must become a wise planner, a deep thinker that thinks beyond the obvious and tries to achieve more out of the smallest things. This means being able to find the solutions within the clutter that everyone dismisses. Being inventive when needed, and being resourceful to survive. The difference between most successful people and the rest is the ability to remain calculative.

5. Stubborn

There is determination but then there is stubbornness and sometimes you need stubbornness in order to achieve that which needs to be achieved. I like to think that stubbornness is reached when determination becomes such a habit that one does not seem to think  about it and looks stubborn to everyone else. Until your mind learns to stay trained on something beyond determination you might never find success. Think of Thomas Edison’s who had so many tries before finally inventing the light bulb, it was not just sheer determination but a force of stubbornness which after so many disappointments he still kept at it.
