Knowledge and Time: Building a Reality

Estimated read time 6 min read

What is reality? The easiest definition would be “As things really are”, which makes 100% sense. If we look at the universe, our understanding of what things are is based on what we see, hear, feel and surprisingly we never consider that all this is what we think. The building blocks of anything that exists is a weave of knowledge stitched together and given meaning by time. At the center of reality is time, however at the building of reality is knowledge.

Knowledge is the Building Block

Existence is connectivity which exists between pieces of material that form whatever it is that we perceive. The sun is the result of connectivity, the plants, the earth, the human being and anything that you can think of. Chemical reactions are all connections that exist or have the potential to exists. Water is the relationship between the hydrogen and Oxygen particles as we have named them to establish the water substance we depend on. My point is this, this connectivity or relationships that we are aware of is knowledge which is driven by the universe or has come to our attention. In our absence of observation the knowledge still exists. Just because we give something a meaning does not mean it did not exist before us, it only means we have found a way to relate to it in our minds.

All things are made up of connections or relationships and as humans we “discover” them not to give them any meaning but for us to become aware of them. Knowledge in our understanding implies education and awareness, yet knowledge in its real sense is the established building blocks that make up every piece of existence in time. Knowledge is everywhere around us, and for us to be aware of it means connecting to it.

Can we create Knowledge?

If knowledge is the building block of reality then the question that must come is “Can we create Knowledge?” We have built economies, invented computers, created cultures and traditions which in the sense of reality is knowledge that we have introduced or woven into reality. So cultures are real, traditions are real and so is everything else we have educated ourselves from our creations. However here lies the interesting part, if we are creators it means the reality that we have created is nothing more than just our filling of space for the convenience of that time. In other words, reality can be shaped in anyway we want depended on the knowledge that exists. Your reality is the sum of your knowledge in time

Good or Evil Knowledge

The universe is a place of existence, and from my understanding anything that promotes the death of life is evil but that which promotes life is termed good. The universe exists on a local level and also on an expansive level; the local level can be your workstation whilst the expansive level can be the galaxies.

We tend to determine meaning of things from our own agenda of life. Killing is evil, this is what everyone would agree. So the question is then asked, is killing millions of chickens for food evil? If an alien race came to earth and was much bigger than us and much stronger and their dietary needs required human flesh would we label that as evil or good? Does the killing of a chicken get justified because they are of a lower intelligence?

Knowledge Creates Reality

Whatever we do is knowledge in action. The building blocks of the universe is knowledge, without it there is nothing that can exist. Programming is the implementation of instructions in order to create a meaning. Those instructions are the knowledge of the universe. Knowledge creates reality and time gives meaning to life. If you want to understand reality then understand the knowledge particles that make up the sum of what you see.

How big you can get in life or rather how successful you can become is the result of the quality and the size of knowledge that you have. We spend so much time wondering what reality is yet we never see that we as people have created or are creating reality on a daily basis.

Time gives meaning to reality

Our species is not inventing in order to be faster or better, but rather inventing in order to make better use of time. Production in any factory is the ability to utilize time efficiently or effectively. The quality of any existence is determined by the quality usage of knowledge. We may have invented different currencies but in the long and short of it all we are simply symbolizing time by those currencies. The USD, the YEN, the Pound Sterling, the Euro and any other currency that you can think of are just representatives of time. The more money one has the more time they have to create by not having to be occupied in routine jobs, creating more time by having other people do your work for you and certainly less requirement to uphold traditions that have no meaning.

Our Battle with Life

Our battle with life is not on how long we can live but rather what can we do with the time that we have. Hence we have games, tournaments, traditional ceremonies, work, education classes and much more all in an effort in making the time that we have seem to have a meaning to us. Tell me though, why can’t a yes be a yes and a no be a no, why do we need a pledge ceremony? The answer is simple, we have ceremonies in order to create more activity and hence give more meaning to our time on earth, even though in its sense it is senseless.

What is Time

Think of time as the universe. It allows us to exist and gives us opportunity to be who we are. We are able to make use of knowledge in time, in the absence of time then our knowledge is of no use in this universe. Time should not be looked at as a ticking clock as it is far from this but rather a blanket where when one is found to be in it they can say to be in reality.

Knowledge and Time

Life is not as complicated as we tend to make it. It’s really down to us, what we do, what we think, and how we want it to be. The more we give control to someone else the more we lose on the essence of what reality is. The reality that you have today does not have to be the reality that you see tomorrow. Things can change and so can you. You are the architect of your reality and the possessor of your knowledge, let your time be of your own.
